QIRAVELOCHARTROOM DERBY / TABLETOP GUIDE

CHARTROOM DERBY / THE RULEBOOK

Read the harbour as a whole.

Six visible zones connect the start, the choices and the final berth.

A route with distinct jobs

The starting buoys establish the boats. Catch spaces introduce the deck. The Scatter lane brings a shared condition, while the Bonus Dock offers a limited choice. The Trophy Lamp marks the end of the journey.

Keep those jobs separate when explaining the board. Not every space draws a card, and passing an interesting place does not automatically open its action.

Movement still has conditions

Count the move from the boat’s current position and resolve the space reached. The Comet catch can grant a short extra move, but it does not erase the final conditions of the route.

A visit to the Bonus Dock requires an exact landing. A boat that passes the dock continues according to its move; it does not stop early to collect an option.

Keep the last position readable

Leave each token where its completed instruction places it. Announce a movement before the next roll so the whole table agrees on the new starting point.

When uncertainty appears, return to the visible evidence: the token, the marked space and the card being resolved. Shared rereading is part of the original clear-table approach.
